Mike Mister

Mike Mister is a Partner at the Møller Institute, Churchill College in the University of Cambridge in the UK.  He works in primarily supporting the development of leadership and change management capability. His key areas of expertise and interest are at the intersection of strategy, commercial success and the organisation’s people agenda. He has over 25 years’ experience in the professional services sector, and for most of the last fifteen years he has consulted around the world with partners and leadership teams.

Mike has many years’ experience in the design and presentation of executive education programmes, and has worked extensively with many of the leading faculty working in the professional services field. The key thrust of these programmes often results in the use of executive development to support leadership development to drive change and improve commercial performance. As well as working with some of the world’s top professional services faculty, Mike has taught business strategy, leadership, and a variety of personal development topics around the world including China, India, South Africa, Canada, Argentina, Australia, the USA and across Europe.

Mike began his career in retail banking before moving to roles in the defence industry. Starting work as a consultant he specialised in the design and delivery of tailored development programmes for a wide variety of ‘Blue-Chip’ organisations, working primarily on assisting executives to improve business performance.

In his last major ‘corporate’ role Mike was Global Director for Executive Development at EY Global (formerly Ernst & Young Global). Although London based he travelled extensively for over 15 years facilitating the development of EY partners around the world as the organisation went through a rapid process of globalisation. As part of this role Mike was responsible for relationships with major business schools and faculty; and working with key suppliers and consulting firms, primarily in the areas of leadership, client service and business development.

Mike has an MBA, a degree in Psychology and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in the UK. He is also a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and an associate by qualification of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (London Institute of Banking and Financial) in the UK.
